How it Started

Daniel & Josh Andrews didn’t just stumble into building Playground - they were born into it.

Child care is in their DNA. Their mom was the director of a center with 250 kids, Grandma working as a preschool administrator & Aunt running an in-home program.

But they saw the struggle up close.

The endless spreadsheets, the clunky software, the paperwork mountains. These things were eating up precious time that could’ve gone to the kids. When their family couldn’t find a tool that actually helped, they turned to Daniel & Josh for a solution. The two brothers recruited their childhood friend Sasha Reiss and the trio built Playground.

Finally, their family had the tool that turned admin chaos into calm. Their family got back hours every week and poured that time into the children they loved.

Word got out, and soon other providers across the country were asking for Playground. What started as a family fix quickly became the platform helping child care providers nationwide ditch the clunkiness and rediscover their passion for early education.
